- Chosen by Voters This is important: Don't weigh yourself more than once a week, and always first thing in the morning prior to eating or drinking. This will give you a more accurate weigh-out over time. I weigh myself about once or twice a month, but my real test is how my clothes fit. If the waist is too tight I know I am gaining weight.I hope this helps. Don't worry about the scale because most are only accurate to about 1 to 2kg anyway.

It really depends on your body. Your pretty tall so its not normal for you to be super skinny 100lbs. that would just be very unhealthy. A healthy weight range for someone like you would be around 135 lbs to 160 lbs. Its great that you lost so much weight so quickly! I'm sure you look great right now. Some people have a lot of muscle and healthy tissue not fat tissue so they weigh more than others but still look and feel healthy. Other people have barely any muscle and little extra tissue and weigh less, but still look as good as the person that weighs more. It depends on your body type and what you feel the most happy and healthy with.

I can be of some help here! Gained 40 lbs of muscle in one year! Here are some good tips that I have for you:Exercises:If you are wanting to bulk up, here is a good tip think high weight and low reps. By this I mean put as much weight on as you feel comfortable and do maybe 6, 8, or 10 reps if you can do them. I recommend 3-6 sets of those reps if you can. I trained with an olympic weightlifter all year and on bench I found it quite efficient to do 6 sets of 6, taking a little break between sets. This will definitely help build muscle. Use this mentality for just about every machine in the gym. If you start to feel like you can't do it, push as hard as you can! This is actually good because you are pushing that muscle to the limit! If need be, just take off a little weight if it gets really hard, and if it feels too light, add more weight! Push ups are good for chest, but there are so many other exercises for it! Bench probably being the most efficient, but in order to get a nice, sculpted chest, make sure to do incline and decline! Works other parts of your pecs to achieve a perfect chest! For a good routine, I recommend using Jefitonline.com! They have great routines for you to print out and/or download. I am not certain if you can access without having an account, but not positive as I have had an account since I started working out. They also have a very useful app for smartphones that have a free version, and a $5 version. I bought the app just because I found it so useful and addicting! I'm sure you can find more in-depth stuff on there that I find really useful! I would be more specific, but it's nearly 1:30 in the morning here. Workout for about 1-2 hours a day depending on what you're working. Some body parts require more time than others, so that is a deciding factor. I work out 5 days a week just because I am determined, but work out as many days a week as you are comfortable. The routines on jefitonline.com usually tell you how many days to work out a week, and what to work. Also, make sure to listen to some heavy music/rock music while lifting. It usually keeps me motivated at all time to push through! It will make you feel invicible and make you feel on top of the world!! And also, while working out ALWAYS keep water and/or gatorade handy. Water gets the job done, but gatorade is the best if you have been sweating a lot because it replenishes all your sodium and potassium levels that you usually sweat out (also known as electrolytes, which serve important purposes as I have learned in chemistry (also chemistry has given me a heads up on this stuff)).As for diet and nutrition:STAY AWAY from candy, sodas, and I would also street clear of things like white bread and the "bad" carbs. Eat a diet consisting primarily of meat, especially if wanting to gain. Eat lots of burgers, steaks, fish, chicken, turkey, etc. You want to take in > 2000 calories. 2000 calories is the average number for people on a normal day, but when building muscle you up your heart rate, you burn more calories, and you MUST take in more than you are burning in order to build. I can tell you from experience that building muscle gives you a HUGE appetite. So make sure you have plenty of fat and protein. More protein than fat, but fat is important as well! It helps give you stuff to build on and helps with "thickness" which is important, because who wants to be muscle sitting on skin and bone? BLEH! Just make sure that you don't let it pile up and you should be fine. But while on this make sure that you keep a regular healthy diet too.As for preworkout I like to use:http://www.gnc.com/product/index.jsp?pro… 1.M.R. is the way to go. I used to use Ravage, but got tired of it.. 1.M.R. is usually $68, but with my gold card at GNC, I can get it for $38, and it has many servings to last a while, and the taste isn't bad at all.. AND IT GIVES YOU BEASTLY ENERGY! Best I've had from any product. A friend referred me to this stuff, and once I had it, I won't go back.Post workout:http://www.gnc.com/product/index.jsp?pro… It's pretty expensive, but this has proved to be AMAZING at gaining! I have gained nearly 30 of my 40 lbs I gained this year using this stuff. It is packed with useful calories. The taste isn't great, but add you some whole milk (for more calories) and some scoops of vanilla ice cream, and you're in business! I can say I've been VERY pleased with this product! I usually split mine up because this stuff is very filling. I usually take half before working out and half after working out.One last thing:Keep a look out for stretch marks. I gained some near my chest and shoulders because I gained muscle faster than my body could contain. They're not bad and they fade, but cocoa butter can help make the fading faster..Hope I helped and good luck! Building muscle is a lot of fun, very addicting, and very rewarding! I absolutely love it. Source(s): Been working out for a while. Gained lots of muscle in just one year. Edited 2 weeks ago I'm going to use these strategies, thanks!

- Chosen by Voters NOTHING! MSG is not deadly. It's in a lot of foods and most people can eat it with no problems. I am allergic to MSG and if I eat it then I usually break out real bad shortly after. But a little in something like a dip isn't going to hurt you even if you are allergic. Unless you are deadly allergic which if that were the case you would already know it. 2 weeks ago 100% 1 Vote
